Five years ago Hensley Mfg. expanded its line of towing products by adding the TrailerSaver 5th Wheel division. While safety wasn’t as much a concern with 5th wheel trailers, comfort was. That’s why TrailerSaver developed the TS3 air-ride hitch and its heavy duty cousin, the 2H. Both operate under the same principle: by placing the pivot point of the hitch head forward and level with the king pin, both the fore-aft and up-down motion of the trailer are absorbed by two heavy-duty airbags and two shock absorbers. The TS3 still stands as the top air-ride hitch in the towing industry, offering a level of comfort unparalleled in the past. The TS3 is rated for 20,000lbs. and fits into standard rails. The 2H is rated for 32,000lbs and bolts into medium or heavy-duty trucks.

For those who want the comfort of air-ride but also the convenience of easy installation and removal, the new BD3 is the ticket. The BD3 comes apart in two sections for light-weight, easy removal. To make air-ride hitches even more accessible, Hensley added the Ford under bed adaptor to its line-up of accessories. Hensley 5th wheel hitches are adaptable to any hitch system, and they’ve topped it off with the Ford Adaptor System. The new Ford trucks come with an optional under bed hitch system, but until Hensley came out with their adaptor, customers were forced to buy the Reese 5th wheel hitch that came with the truck. Now they can opt out of the Reese hitch and call Hensley for an air-ride hitch that fits easily into their Ford truck.
