We don’t like posting such things on our website, but we feel it is necessary for the safety of our customers. In this “wild west” age of the internet, many scams and false advertisements abound. It seems one has been directed at our customers.
Someone has posted Google ads or sending emails claiming that they are selling the Hensley Hitch. When the number is called, they will answer the phone and tell you that yes, you can get a Hensley Hitch here. Several of our customers have been surprised to find something other than a Hensley delivered to their door. And, needless to say, when they call to return the item, no one is available to help them. Some have actually had their numbers blocked.
When you call us at 1-800-410-6580, we will always answer the phone with our name and “This is Hensley Mfg.” If you don’t hear “This is Hensley Mfg.,” you have not called Hensley.
Another tactic these people use is to include the words “Hensley Mfg.” or “Hensley Arrow” in their email with a hyperlink. Remember, the text and hyperlink don’t need to match. And in this case, they don’t. This is common with scammers pretending to be from your bank. It’s very easy to do. To be sure you’re on the Hensley website, simply look at the address bar and see that it says “https://hensleymfg.com.”
While we seek legal action against the perpetrators of this criminal activity, please be sure that you take the same precautions that you would with someone sending an email claiming to be from your bank. Always type in the web address that you know is correct or call us direct.
