The rings that connect the beam assembly to the guide rods is too weak. I encountered forward to back movement of the beam assembly and thought the problem was the bolt the holds the hitch to the beam assembly. After pulling the guide rods out, I noticed that they now have an oblong shape. I cleaned the rods and installed they and could freely rock the beam assembly back and forth. This is the reason for the metal clanking every time I accelerate and brake. I replaced the guide bars a year ago but excessive movement has prematurely worn them out. I will contact Hensley tomorrow to see what their response is and will post another review.
