I find the grease fitting to be a quality product . It’s also an unfortunate necessity for the operation of the hitch. The negative reality of the grease fitting is that it is also the weight distribution bar’s retaining and lubricant fitting . If not properly lubricated and inspected the weight distribution bar can work loose from the hitch assembly and drag down the highway. Why not replace the need for the messy grease fitting with a redesign of the distribution arm input socket with Teflon coated retention arrangement. Currently without grease the Hensley hitch doesn’t work.
I also purchased the Hitch Helper. Where has this item been hiding? I wish I would have found the Hitch Helper 3 years ago. It would have eliminated a lot of hitch up time and frustration not to mention reducing the learning curve.
My friend who is also owns a travel trailer wants one for his conventional hitch.
Thank You
